i was wondering if you could use a chemical stripper to remove paint on a aluminum brake cailiper (c5). i know would need to remove seals etc but will the stripper hurt the metal? i also know i will need to wash with wather after using the chemical stripper just looking for advice. thanks.

Aircraft stripper is known to be the best stripper available, it is made to work on aluminum aircraft. Most any auto parts store will carry several grades of paint stripper of which there will probably at least one called aircraft stripper.

Make sure to use gloves with that Airkraft Stripper. Boy does that stuff burn!

FWIW, don't forget a pair of safety glasses. Splatter in eyes = OUCH. :noway:
