A couple of weeks ago there was a post about a guy who took his wife's Mustang in for work and the dealership spun the tires off for him. They were going to replace the tires but he was concerned about other damage done. I never heard how he came out, does anyone know???

http://www.chevelles.com/forums/images/icons/icon14.gif Re: Legal Advise-Dealer Abused My Car!
UPDATE:

Sorry for the delay but had to keep this one close until I knew for sure!

Went to an arbitration hearing last Monday between the BBB, myself and Ford and just found out FORD Motor Co has to repurchase my car from me @ the price I paid for it 2 years ago and any interest paid up until the time they hand me the check!

Car fell under the lemon law statue and the arbitrator figured enough already, Full price with zero deductions for age or mileage, this is binding and Ford is required by law to comply, car will be going back to original dealer where it was purchased, same dealer where the General Manager told me he didn't want any more of my business, HOW SWEET!

Car will be branded as a "Buy Back Car" and disclosure must be made to any potiential customers whom may be interested in buying it.

Someone will be getting a Legend Lime Lemon, known defects are:

Battery dies if car sits lor any duration beyond 2 weeks without starting. Has had 3 new batterys in 2 years, been in for the same repair 8 times and continues kill batteries.

Oil analysis shows that anti-freeze is getting mixed with the motor oil, been that way since new, had 2 samples tested, sample # 1 was from the original oil filter that was kept after its first oil change @ 1,260 milese and sample # 2 was from a oil change done at 1,960 miles, both samples had hi levels of ethelene glycol and high consentrations of copper in both.

Tranny bangs hard while changing gears (automatic) while driving normal at times, not always . Sometimes when cold, reverse takes a while to engage and when shifting from park to reverse, whole car shudders hard once warm.

Anti freeze smell coming from motor after shutting car off when hot, can really smell it in a closed garage.

Top end of motor is noisey, not the injectors but valve train "clatter".

Alignment no where near where it should be, car is all over the road at highway speeds, Ford dealer who has to buy it back says they did an alignment but couldn't produce a before or after spec sheet, I guess they can do it right when they get it back!

Bottom line, it didn't even take a lawyer to make Ford do the right thing, all it took was the truth and persistance and a lot of patients!

No MORE FORDS for this Chevrolet Family, not after the way we were treated and the lies that originated both at the dealer level and Corporate level at FORD.

Chevrolet and Harley Davidson are the only items that will occupy space in my garage from here on out, FORDS are not welcome!

Thanks everyone for listening,

Gibby

Ford bought back a 90 F250 from us that had an incredible number of problems in 2 years. Knowing the problem frequency was typical, we bought a 92 F250 that we still have today. It's been the best, most reliable vehicle we've ever had.
