Hi,
I have a zz 502 in a 72 nova, and was wondering if anyone knows if 1.8 rockers help at all. I am also considering a cam swap, but the motor is brand new,
and I really dont want to change springs, lifters etc. any suggestions?

Don't beat around the bush, swap cams for full effect. Until then, run what you got, or use the winter to swap in a hot grind.

The 1.8's did nothing for either of my cars. A cam swap sure did though! I went with the crower 01405LM 245/253 @ .050 .612/.636 hydraulic roller and it dropped the et nearly .5 and gained 2.5 MPH.

We have MPFI so it's very tame and drives really nice, based on this I wish I would of went with their 01406LM 253/260 @ .050 .636/.659. I know that doing some head work will also net some huge gains too.

BTW, our corrected altitude here is about 7000 feet during most the summer and goes as high as 8500 feet, so I would expect greater gains at lower altitude.
