: Dumb lock question

I searched the forums and I didn't see this posted so here goes. My interior door locks are different sizes. When locked one sticks up higher than the other? Both lock fine so this is just a cosmetic problem. I noticed that in some of the interior pics posted there is a "trumpet" shaped lock to pull up & down to lock and unlock the car. Mine are not like that mine are straight with no "trumpet" piece? Are these easy to replace I just got the GM service manual for 1972 and I don't see this mentioned. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Chris

Don't they just screw on? Maybe one isn't screwed down all the way, or the rod is slightly bent on one.

Or, maybe you have a mismatched set.
you can get new ones in the help section at your auto parts store.

The '' trumpet " style was often removed as this prevented someone from taking a coat hanger and opening the door.
