HELP, last year feeling guilty for many reasons, one of them being the purchase of a 1968 El Camino,(for my son who loves mussle cars) that is just a rolling body (and I have the power glide trans), but after discovering (rather having it pointed out by my well meaning brother) that the car is full of bondo to hide the rust, I decided that it would cost me more to restore it than it would ever be worth. So what I did was turn around and bought my son his true dream car a 1969 numbers correct, 12 bolt, true Chevelle SS with the promise that the same brother mentioned above would help me get it restored (with his many connections) reasonabley....then I woke up from that dream, and realized that I need to get rid of both of the cars and I don't even know how to price them, concidering the brother also feels that I got ripped off on the Chevelle. I have pics available if you need to see them to help me price these cars, but I prefer to be e-mailed @ donnamperrone@msn.com, please put Chevelle in the subject box so that I know its not spam but a helpful responce.

I'd sand blast it down and see what you're really working with before you make a decision.

HELP

Donna,

What Dean said, list them on E-Bay with enough pics to honestly represent, and at a reserve to cover your original cost, and go from there. I suspect you - and your brother - will be surprised.

BTW, you're son is very lucky to have a cool mom, even if she's notabarbie ;)

Like I said, it may not be as bad as you think. Strip it to see what you really have before getting rid of it.
