Ive been building up a 454 for the past few months and I am finally ready to break it in, but it wont crank. Is the wiring to my starter the problem? My guage is reading about 12 volts and does not drop off when I try and crank it so its not the battery. Any suggestions.

does the starter click when you try to crank it over?If it doesn't ,do you have all the wires connected to it.Sometime we tend to forget the little wires going to the solenoid

NVM I fixed it, wire was connected to the wrong terminal.
