Will the back seat from a 1968 gto 2dr hardtop fit in a 1969 chevelle 2dr hardtop.Also what seats interchange do all a body's around the same year interchange.Thanks

it wont fit 69 i had this same problem in my 68 Chevelle i had 68 GTO seats and i measured them to see if a 1969 would fit in my car i believe 69 is wider by a couple of inches so 68 fits 68 only and 69 fits 69 only 70 i know does not fit they are way short

I believe it WILL fit. But You might need some more opinions. Ive had 69 seats in my 68 and they fit fine. GTO are the same I believe

Isn't the differance going to be weather it has rear built in or bolt on arm rests?

I looked up the part number on the floor and its the same for 68-72 chevelle,68-72 gto,68-72 old cutlass.So i guess it must depend on where the rear arm rest's are.

I once installed a 69 GTO rear seat in my '66 Chevelle... Worked fine (upper hung on the "hooks" and the lower "snapped" in just like the '66 pieces)... Except for the upholstery pattern, it looked correct...

My '66 was also a factory bucket seat car, and I used the '69 GTO pieces for those...
