Can one of you kind and wonderful forum members send me a link or photo of the window cranks (installed) for the back seat windows on a 1970 Chevelle 2 door hardtop? Even a photo of the guts of the mechanism would be greatly appreciated. My project car came without an interior. Before I buy stuff I don't need, with money I don't have, I want to know how the window system works. I may install power windows. If anyone has done this (and has the time to share) please let me know.

Thanks in advance for any and all considerations, comments, or direction.

Mitch

The Fisher Body Service Manual should have photos/information that will help you out. If you don't already have the manual, it wouldn't be a bad idea to get one along with the Factory Assembly Manual and the Chassis Service Manual. If you are serious about doing any reasonable amount of work on your car, you'll find these manuals well worth the price.

Rich, I do have the Factory Assembly Manual and the Chassis Service Manual however I don't yet have the Fisher Body Service Manual. I will order one now. Do you know for a fact that the FBSM has the info I'm looking for? Just wondering.

Thanks!

The Fisher manual picks up where the fastory assembly and chassis manual stop. The "Body by Fisher" manual explains all glass, headliner, and trim issues. A must have for reassembly IMHO

Just sent you some pictures that I took during tear down. They may help but I agree with the others get the Fisher Body Manual. It has excellent diagrams in it.
