Can someone tell me the part number for the GM drop base air cleaner that works on my stealth and holley 3310# combo. I want to use the stock SS hood that is going back on my 66ss.

Chris I've seen repo's of those bases in Catalogs I think O.P.G. has them but they are kind of expensive. I bought a 20.00 cheapo from Summit and wirebrushed the base on a bench grinder and painted it black. It fooled one of my friends who thought I sprung for the high dollar repo.

The AC Delco part number for the drop base air cleaner is 6423907. It has the large breather pipe coming off the base to hook up to the valve cover hose. It cost me $100, but you'll see a much better quality than the other generic ones out there, and it drops down lower too.

Ground Up Restorations has them, I think the entire assembly with chrome lid and filter is $79. Look in thier on-line catalog it might be there.
