Went out to Maple Grove for Test/Tune today. Very crowded. First run netted a 12.12/113.16. I launched it kinda soft expecting the usual wheelspin. Got a good hook, so tried a little more RPM next pass. Left at 2100, increments below.

R/T .012
60 1.706
330 4.876
1/8 7.588
1000 9.947
1/4 11.929
MPH 114.01

I was VERY pleased with this run. I hoped to maybe better it slightly on the last run of the day. It seems someone had gotten water in my lane at the line. I spun bad off the line, 12.08/113.38
A good day overall.

Nice times, can we get some more details your combo? My brother is tuning a 402 BBC in his 71 Camaro and would be interested in hearing the detials.

Thanks,

Dave,

I'm glad to hear you are into the 11s with you 402 motor! Very cool. and with an OD tranny to boot.

Why do you call them truck heads? They are not het "peanut port" type are they?

My questions:
What's the compression ratio and gas type?
What is the weight of your car with you in it?

-I'm still out for MPH, but hope to seek the 11s some day. graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Mike,
Lowering those 60ft times might get you closer, but your right 109mph may not be enough.
I call them truck heads because they have "TRUCK" cast in the rocker area, and they have hardened steel exhaust seats. They are not peanut port, they are large oval, open chamber.
My SCR/DCR works out using Pat's calculator at about 10.2/8.2
I run 94 Sunoco with 38 total no problems.
I did put my car on the scales at Super Chevy this year, 3880lbs with me in it.
Keep at it Mike, small details and persistence make the difference.
They could hear me hoot in the stands when i got that timeslip.
