Among all of the projects on my 68 Chevelle is repairing/restoring my AC system. Does anyone know where I can get the couplers that fit between the dash vent assembly and the duct hose? Has anyone fabricated an alternative? I've been watching eBay for months and have never seen the coupler/adapters. Mine are missing and I don't see any alternative to attaching the hose to the vent assembly. I don't thing they make them in the aftermarket. Thanks

Mark,
I have been told by Chevyland here in Sacramento that they are not reproduced. I have been looking at fabricating something as I am adding A/C to my non-A/C '68. I was told that I could use the ones from a '69, but I have not been able to verify that. I would be interested in seeing pictures of the way the vents on both sides of the dash look so that I can cut mine to look factory! Thanks Ken

I have had real good luck with these folks finding hard to get parts; they really know Chevelles. Hope it works for you.

Thanks Gentlemen. I think I'm going to try to fabricate something myself from PVC. Ken I think I saw a post from the past that someone actually had a template for cutting the a/c vent openings in the dash bezel. I don't know about the one on the other side - you'd probably need a lot of measurements to get it centered correctly. The good thing is the dash bezel is a real easy conversion - the center duct mounting areas are already behind the ac delete plate. A past post also said some of the dash bezels had the AC vent area outlined on the back of the non-ac bezel. As easy as it is to remove the bezel it would be worth a try to look. Thanks Again

I am adding stock AC to my non AC 68 and have some of the same questions. I have purchased an AC dash bezel but will have to cut the hole for the passenger vent. I tried to find the post mentioned above (about someone having a template) but couldn't find it. Can anyone offer any more help?
Concerning the couplers, the ones for a 68 Camaro or 69 Chevelle look like they could work or be modified to work. These are available aftermarket.
