Hello everyone, I'm new here. I'm restoring a 65 El Camino, and it seems that repro air vents are not available (to my knowlege). Just curious what some of you have done. I have a pair that are pitted, just weighing the options before sending them to a chrome plater.

The actual balls I believe were used in other cars such as the older camaros, you may try to see about some of them. Mine were in good "enough" condition to reuse.

Not sure about 65's but in my 69 the repo astro vent balls were a very poor fit. So much so that I had to return the repos and reuse the originals. These are plastic mind you so I'm not sure rechrome is a possibility. You are almost allways better off with an original part.
