Gotta love 'em for their ability to obfuscate.

THE REAL DEAL! 427 L72 CHEVELLE CONVERTIBLE DOCUMENTED WITH PROTECTO PLATE, FISHER BODY BUILD SHEET, AND DEALER INVOICE. COMPLETE RESTORATION ON A NON RUSTED PRESSTONE BODY. ONE BEAUTIFUL RARE CHEVELLE!
Never mind the part of the POP displayed is for a Malibu convertible, 283 w/Powerglide and 10-bolt 3.08 rear.
More like a real deal and documented Malibu convertible that has been cloned into a never was 427. :clonk: Even gives clones a bad name.

I can only suggest that they might be trying to spell “pristine” ? Hope the car is better than their spelling.

Buy it now of 75K for an original 283 Malibu convert that has been badly cloned into a non existent SS427. http://bestsmileys.com/lol/1.gif

This place is not far from me. ( it's in NJ not PA ) Went there to kill some time and check out his stock awhile ago...but it looked like a bunch of half baked resto's. You can "buy-it-now" for $52,900 from their site. "Delivered to the dealer as a 396 car then the FACTORY-AUTHORIZED upgrade to a 427 was done. The Chevelle now sports a 454 powerplant .... A RARE and COLLECTIBLE muscle car"...that car has been sittin' in the showroom for a couple years now...

Here's what he wrote me...
this car was a bennet chevy race car like the yenko was ordered from fisher body with 427 badges and a stock v8 then converteded by bennet chevy i have talked to bennett who are still in buisiness i have fisher body build sheet documenting car built for 427 along with dealer upgrade to 427
Didn't know you could order cars from Fisher Body or that they'd come with an engine. Wonder if he's talking about Bennett Chevrolet on Black Horse Parkway (found it on the Internet)?

I have a soft spot for Lemonwood yellow / black interior / top SuperSports. This is what my first Chevelle looked like (clone).
Don't let any facts get in the way of a good story.

Even if it was a clone, convertibles bring top dollar... I would say this is one of those "Buyer's Beware" posts.
Funny when you said "Never mind the part about the POP", all it shows is an impression from the POP not the actual plate... Hummmmmmm...

If Stickman is correct and this is from Black Tie Classics, the best advice would be Stay Away! This Shop has a bad reputation in this area and is well known, at least in the groups I am associated with, for overpricing cars that are misrepresented. :noway:
