Twice in the last 2 weeks when braking on snow my anti lock brakes have done their thing and the truck suddenly goes into some weird mode where all it does is idle, no throttle response at all. The check throttle light comes on but other then that no throttle but everything else is fine. Both times I shut the truck off and started it right up and it was fine with no idiot light on any more. What up?

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but that sounds like the injection pump is bad. The throttle is fly by wire and the pump is electronic. A new pump will set you back $6-900 and isn't that hard to do.

You should get someone to scan it when it does that to be sure what is causing it to do that. The folks over at www.fullsizechevy.com have a Diesel thread, check it out. It's free like here. I am there as 021500HD as that is the truck I have.
