I recently swapped out my Saginaw 4 speed for an Auto Gear 4 speed. The speedo cable which was on the drivers side on the Saginaw now needs to attach to the passenger side on the new tranny. The original speedo cable is just long enough that it will attach to the new tranny however it would have to make a fairly tight loop to make it work.
Am I risking a cable failure in the near future by trying to save a few bucks or should I just find something longer.

Thanks Al

You could try a new or used cable and housing from a Chevy Van. That is what I have on my 70 454 M-22. Old housing was broken, Needed something with the cable that would go to the right side of the M-22. The van stuff is just fine.
