Is this stock stuff from the factory ?? This was under the old carpet. When I replaced it last year. The floor looks great so I left it in there. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Hey bry. I think I've got it! What ya think ?? Tanks Rick:hurray:

[COLOR="Red"]Great! I bought this car from south Fla. A while ago. Matching #'s Malibu with SS badges on it. I had a friend from Detroit who is into this way before me. And he helped check it out. ( Thanks Tom) I can"t beleive this car is stock. I even found 3 build sheets for it. when I took the interior out. This car continues to surprise me. IN GOOD way. Rick:hurray: :D :) :beers:

wow that's the cleanest sound deadener I've seen. Usually it's all beat up from getting stomped on and drenched and stomped on again.

I know! But the funny thing was. As I swept it out. I found some coins. ONE was a 1970 penny!! I got a great laugh out of that.

You should smell the darned "horse-hair" crap they used to use years earlier in the '50's and earlier!!

And to this day, I like what I call, the light gray Mohair cloth that MOPAR used in their '48 Dodge 5 pass. Coupe I had! Smelled all funky only b/c of age, but it was NICE ta sit on and to feel, imho!!

When I cut the floors out of my 69, I found a 1968 penny pinched between the floor and the floor brace, it was as shiny as the day it was new, except for the one edge that was just barely exposed to the outside.

When you guys are putting new sound deadner like Rammat or Dynamat down. Are you just laying it on top of this factory stuff or are you removing all that old deadner?

Seb. I found my build sheets ( 1) under the carpet. ( 2 ) under the rear seat. ( 3 ) in the drivers door panel. So check those places out also. Under the sound deadner. I don't think so. Rick

Rick,
I'm not so sure my car ever had one... as I've read before not a lot found in Kansas built 66's.
Those other areas have been checked already, :(
I have my POP, original window sticker, Retail order form for a motor vehicle, Dealer invoice, original Title, every registration card from 1965 to 1982, and oil change reciepts and service records for the same time frame:yes: . I am just hoping to add a build sheet to the collection... but as you see , not needed.;)
Anyway the reason I mention finding one under the deadener is because of this http://www.chevelles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=156192&highlight=Arlington+build+sheets

and have read others found there as well.

Hey SEB... Mine says it was built in Atlanta. Georgia. Lakewood plant. I have the old door panel down here in the spare room. With the build sheet still glued to the back side of the door panel. I think I'm the second owner. I bought it from a Small car dealer in south Florida. Car was from Marshall N.C French road chevy co. So I'm thinking. The guy sold it to this dealer. Then I bought it. Thats a long story. Thank God for friends in Florida for the help. So I couldn't help you on this. Rick

Man those are clean. Makes me wish i knew better with my car. Mine looked like that but I decided to strip them down and paint them black inside to help them last longer. What was I thinking. Then again i was 17 or so. won't do that again. I am still trying to figure out what the original caoting on the underside is if anyone knows. about 3/4 of my floor still retains it.
