I just talked to a friend today that has some Edelbrock Victor Jr 23* heads for sale for about $600.00 complete. Would these heads be too big for my setup.Pros and cons. Thanks in advance.

Are they for the motor in your signature? Although there may be better heads for that motor, those are still good and you probably wont be better heads for that price if they are ready to go, so I also agree that you should grab em. Id consider a 4.10 gear and a converter capable of an honest 3500 rpms of stall to go with the 284 cam if you are bracket racing. Otherwise, if it smostly street your current 2800 converter and the planned swap to 3.73 gears will do plenty well for a fun car to drive around on the street.

for that price you cant go wrong if the heads are good ,i always thought the victor jr heads were patterned after the bowtie heads whitch is a very good head and would not be to big for your combo at all.you can probable find some better heads out there but not at that price
