Now that I am pretty much done with exterior and interior rebuilt I am spending more and more time trying to understand the engine part.
So far everything runs good and I am replacing parts which needs it.
I have a "creative" line half rubber half metal running from the front of the carburator to the back of my transmission?
I can't find any reference to it.
What is it?
How should it be?
My transmission is a TH350, I am not too sure about my carb.. it says Carter AFB on the tag label and it has a W engraved in it, looks like the edelbrock performer pictures.
How can I determine the carb I have?
the crab has an electric choke, I do not have anything going to the choke+ I have been told to put any wire which is going +12V while the engine runs (ignition, acc, etc..).
Is that a good idea?
is the choke effect just a factor of how long the engine has been on, that's all...?
I have power brake on the car, most of the time everything is okay but sometime, there is just no pressure on the brake pedal and it is like it goes manual and that is really scary when it happen. so the engine pushes the car and I fight trying to stop it.
what can be wrong?
why is it okay 99.9% of the time?
what should I check first?
Thanks a lot
