I was looking through my Jeg's catalog and seen that Edelbrock has this package that will produce 420HP. The package consists of the following.
EDL-60899 (HEADS)
EDL-7501 (INTAKE)
EDL-7102 (CAM KIT)
EDL-1407 (CARB)
Does anyone have this set-up or know someone who does?? I am courious because I was thinking of getting this set-up for my car but wanted some feed back good or bad from you guys.

The cam is terrible. It's an old generic grind from the 60s.... good at the time, but we've learned a little about hot to make them better since then, and conditions (like gasoline and people's expectations) have changed. Almost any modern grind will do better. The Comp XE274 works great with those heads for example.

The heads & intake are the best parts of the package. IMO the carb is not particularly good (it's the old Carter AFB), but it's OK, alot of people do OK with it. You'd probably get more power out of it with a Holley though.

CAPS LOCK is a bad thing. It's rude to use that on the Net. It makes you LOOK LIKE YOU'RE SHOUTING AT EVERYBODY. There is no excuse ("It's too hard to do it right", etc.) for it.
