i am currently building a 30 over 454. going to have about 9.5:1 compression. 781 heads with 2.18 intake vlaves. motor will have headers 2500rpm stall, 4.10 rear with a th400. going to run the stock 69 high rise cast intake and a quadrajet from a 454. also will have roller rockers. looking for a good choice on the cam for this application. want to keep a hydrolic cam non roller. any info will be apreciated.

i was thinking a voodoo cam #60204.

As usual, BigRed-L72 is right on, particularly with that 4.10 gear. You will need a high-volume mech pump, either Holley or Carter, and 1/2" #8 gas line from tank to carb. With 850, Team G, and any sort of header, that combo makes at least 475 BHP, on conservative dynos like Mercury Marine's. That cam was Mercury Marine'ws 440 Magnum cam for the 454, 8.8:1. All of the ones they dynoed made between 450 and 475, with a free-=flowing cast-iron exhaust manifold.
Lunati's part number is 302A8LUN. If you want the VooDoo replacement, it is 60204LK for cam and lifters. Both cams are excellent. I made thousands of the 288/296H10 for the BBC, it was my most popular BBC hydraulic cam, SBC too.....
