Our 17 year old Lennox Pulse 90 gas furnace is lucky to have a pulse at all let alone a 90.
It needs to go and we are seeking advice on a good quality replacement. Lennox has a lifetime warranty on the heat exchanger but that looks like a lot of red tape an may not be worth pursuing not to mention the rumor we heard about them having financial troubles and may be on the brink of bankruptcy???
What brand provides a good dependable gas furnace?
Our system includes A/C and a built in ionizer filter.
Thanks,
Dale

Sounds like a question for Dean as he is very savvy in this area.

All furnaces have good, better and best, (best being for the those people that always think the highest priced is the way to go. :D )
We sell York because we feel that they are the best out there but Lennox has very good equipment also.
Heil is good too.
I would stay away from Carrier, Trane, American Standard, Also Goodman and a bunch of those others, most of which are manufactured by the same company for the apartment house type of application market.
What's more important than the brand name is having the equipment installed by a qualified honest and caring contractor.

As per your poll, Carrier, Bryant, and Payne are virtually the same product, just different sales lines. I prefer Carrier anyday over Heil. York as Dean mentioned is a good product. It all comes down to a well installed product. They are only as good as the contractor that installed it. Where did you hear Lennox is hitting hard times?
Just noticed you are up in Everett. Carrier and York have the best product support in the NW. Very few Heil dealers, Trane is overrated for their product, and only the cheapest of contractors sell Goodman or Janitrol. Lennox is difficult to get parts from local dealers.

I like Yorks products, The affinity line are well built machines. They just now coming out with a 96% modgulating version in the Affinity line. Though I admit, no matter what brand I'm never first to jump into new to the market stuff. If there is a York dealer and distributor near you I'd encourage you to check them out. The 90%+ 2-stage Affinity is a good furnace. Lots on the York website as well.
