Hello, I think this is a great site. I hope you could give me your reccomendation on header tube size. I have a 461, with a xe268 cam, performer rpm intake, 9.6.1 compression, holley 850. I was wondering what size primary tubes would be good for my combination. It will see some strip duty, but mostly street. Thanks for your time.

1 3/4 would work really well. Definatly dont go bigger than 1 7/8.

Yep...what SS454 said graemlins/thumbsup.gif those dynomax ceramacoated headers 1.75/3" collectors are tough to beat.

Thanks for the inputs. I was thinking 2 inch would kill low speed torque.

personally i'd definitely go with 1 7/8", they'd match the rest of the engine perfectly. ;) 2" tubes i also think would be getting too big, especially for the street.

personally i'd definitely go with 1 7/8", they'd match the rest of the engine perfectly. I'd beg to differ, I and others running faster than myself are doing fine with the 1.75 tubes. Brings the torque range down lower where you need it to get these heavy cars moving.
