I had nothing but problems with these guys. Or should I say woman.
Because it was a woman I talked to all the time. Sorry I don't remember her name. I was using E-Bay to buy my stuff (sheet metal-Outer wheel wells, truck drop panels) from them.

Late shipping. Not complete. Extra charges. Custom problems. etc..etc..
Never again...The folks over at OPGI were %100 on there game. No problems. Shipped to my door. No extra charges.

Bought somthing on ebay from them. Paid paypal 2 weeks later no part, called said it was on back order 6 wks. Then what are you doing selling it on ebay if not in stock. Cancelled my order took two more weeks for a refund and calling them twice. Not impressed at all.

have bought several items from them, great prices and fasty shipping.

Even sent me a new gas tank whene UPS backed over mine, before UPS paid them for it.

Nothing but good things to say about their service...

Final note: These guys and some other's are doing this pre-sale BS.
Pre-Sale..is selling a item they don't even have in stock. But are getting some in. BS..BS..BS..anything for a dame sale. I need the part now, not next month or when ever they get it in.

I believe it is against Ebay's policy to sell something you don't actually own. I know people do it all the time, sell things, then have the mfg drop ship it to your door. If you report an item you know they don't have to Ebay, it might get pulled.

Mike;

I had exactly the same problems with (probably the same girl) Gina. Anyways, by the looks of things these problems only apply to out of country orders (Canada) as our US brothers and sisters seem to be satisfied.
I have used OPGI many times and yes those guys are great but the freight is a constant deal breaker. When I ordered all my sheet metal (between $3800.00 and $4800.00 not including $1000.00 adder for freight) I shopped everywhere for price, quality and who had the stock.
I ended up going with a company called Mid-Canada Classics in Winnipeg Manitoba. Ted was fantastic to deal with. One shipment to the depot in Edmonton where I picked up my order (complete I may add // NO BACKORDERS). Everything was Goodmark and is (so far) fitting like a glove. These guys have earned my business and more importantly my trust. Best of all no cross border shipping with after the fact "surprise" UPS bills for $100.00 plus showing up two weeks after I receive my goods.
Unless it is not avaliable from Mid Canada Classics I will be hard pressed to spend my $$ cross border again.
Nothing personal to my U.S. brothers and sisters, but when free freight only applies to in country orders, no matter how big the order, it really levels the playing field.

I have not bought from Tamraz but I have looked at their auctions and often the description says the item is not in stock. For example read the description with this part:

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260181868631&ssPageName=MERC_VI_RCRX_Pr12_PcY_BIN_Stores_IT&refitem=260208398534&itemcount=12&refwidgetloc=active_view_item&usedrule1=CrossSell_LogicX&refwidgettype=cross_promot_widget

I bought a bunch of stuff through them recently. I bought fenders, door shells and a bunch of odds and ends for my 69, and dad bought a quarter and a fender for his 72. I bought mine over the phone after looking at their prices on ebay. I talked to Rob there and he matched the prices on ebay. I confirmed that they had the parts in stock and drove up there to get them. Their pricing is good and I would definitely buy from them again.

Just had a slight problem with an order and these guys were top notch in taking care of it, They followed up with 3 phone calls and a e-mail. Call direct , I was told that they would meet or beat any catalog price.

I gave them a try after have troubles with Ground Up, I was sent the wrong rear arm rest by them and by the time I got off the phone with them I was so close to calling the C/C and having the whole order returned and charged back over a $15 piece after $600 in orders in the last couple weeks, Had to go borrow a camera to PROVE to them they screwed the pooch and sent me 2 different arm rest.
ETA- every company screws the pooch now and then, to me it's how they take care of it that determines if I reorder or not

Figure the next couple grand in parts will be spent with Tamraz's or one of the other list sponsors Customer Service go's a very long ways when spending my hard earned $$

circletrack what is the issue with the bumpers as I'm going to replace both

I looked on ebay for the best prices on parts and I used every big supplier that was listed in the "buy it now section". There all excellent. I find that the problem is never with the supplier, its more in the reproduction part quality.

Gene's General Restoration (on ebay) has better prices than Tamraz on shipping. Gene also gives volume discounts, the more you buy, the more you save. You don't have to buy a whole "interior kit" to save money with him, you can mix and match.

Ground Up is my local store and my favorite. They also give the 10% membership discount.

I have NOT had a problem with any of the companies I bought parts from, and I bought from every big company. For me, it all comes down to shipping cost. Find a small local store, almost every store carries the same big brand names for parts.

I bought front and rear bumpers from them for my 66 Chevy II Nova. They fit perfectly, and look great. Prices and serivces were good, I'd buy from them again. Not sure what the issue is with the Chevelle bumpers?

I received NO 10% discount on my parts from Ground Up and I did inform the salesman that I was a member of T/C. The guy was a mope when I ordered my parts and just said "Next," and gave me the total price which came to $79.90. I received only two (2) parts out of the three (3) that I ordered, which cost only $20.90 today, and the S&H was $18.95! Never again.

I have a strange feeling that I will have to return that part that I still am waiting for from GU, because I won't be pleased with it. I have dealt mostly with OPGI and never had a problem with them at all; 10% off and free shipping and free freight for the months of April and May, despite the amount of the order. Unfortunately, GU was the only vendor who had the part I was looking for...or not.
I'll have to get back to ya'll.

Respectfully,
John R.

After experiencing extremely slow shipping from other vendors I began to order items from Tamraz. Recieved rear bumper and several other items with no problems. They had the bumper and rear valance drop shipped from the supplier. The lady was extremely helpful and communication was fine. Took about a week to receive all of my items.

I have a friend who bought Camaro parts off of Tamraz's and was very un-happy with them. Everything got returned. As far as suppliers I have dealt with, I hate all of them. OPG never has anything in stock and if they do, they ship the wrong parts. Ground Up and In-Line Tube over charge for shipping and the parts are of average quality. I will stick with my local guy for everything. Muscle Cars Only is only 25 minutes away, has great prices and only carries parts he would use on his own cars.

My two cents on this.I have owned a auto parts mail order business in the past. All the problems that customers have with out of stock parts, slow shipping and bad customer service are the same problems sellers have with their suppliers.I had to spend thousands of dollars to "buy in" to company's to get wholesale prices only to find they were completely apathetic to me,my bussiness and my customers. They would lose my orders, only ship part of the order, send some else's order, charging my account for other people's orders and lying to me constantly.
My advice is to call the supplier your prefer and have them check stock to make sure they have what you need when you need it, ask when it will ship and when you will get it.Ask the person's name who took your order. If your order is late or missing item's try to speak to same person to find out what happened.A good supplier will do whatever it takes to make you happy, these are the people to stick with even if they have made even more than one mistake with you or don't always have everything.Building a good report with people is what will get you the best service in the long run.
As far as ebay is concerned you need to do same thing with these "power sellers".Ask if they have it before you bid,win and pay.I have bought a lot parts for my El Camino on ebay and saved a lot of money but it's sometimes at the expense of longer shipping time which is ok depending on what it is.I just bought an SS instrument dash from Car Parts on ebay for $286.00,made by or marketed by Dynacorn, the same dash that Original Parts Group has for something like $350.00.I waited a little longer for the "pre-sale" part but I think it was worth it

(kind of long-sorry)

Hello,
I just had a TERRIBLE experience with TAMARAZ. I ordered a set of front and rear seat covers for a 70 chevelle, and a carpet. First the parts took over a week to arrive, no problem I let it slide. The big problem, when I took the box with the seat covers to the upholsterers there turned out to be 4 bucket seat covers, no rears. I know I should have verified when they were delivered but they were at my doorstep when I came home, I never signed for them in the first place. Now my upholstery guy is going on vacation soon for 4 weeks, so I called them up and let them know they made a mistake and explained my dilemma. The response I got was it would take 3 or 4 days for me to get the rear seat covers, I then proceeded to ask if there was anything further they could do and the response I got was a disgusted NO. SO I said I would just drive the 2 hours to National Parts depot, buy the rear covers, and sell the extra fronts I had on Ebay. The guy on the phone said,OK. Well about 30 minutes later the original guy I was talking to called back and said I needed to send back the extra fronts, I told him I would if he could help me. The manager then got on the phone and was very rude and threatened me if I didn't send the seat covers back, I told him that no way would I send them back, he said they would lose $109 by me not sending them back. He looked up my account and proceeded to tell me that I haven't ordered anything since late 2006 from them, insinuating that I wasn't a good customer. I told him again no way, since he didn't want to work with me I refused. He hung up on me and that was that. Well a few hours later my wife noticed that her credit card was charged for the $109! We are now disputing the charge to get a refund, but they were never authorized to charge our card. According to the invoice that came with the order the front and rears were all that was in the box, so technically they have no proof that we received anything besides the front and rears. I am not a difficult person and if they would have at least offered to overnight the rear covers and split the overnight cost I would have gladly paid for half, I am in a dilemma and wanted someone to care.I went today to NPD and got the covers, at a CHEAPER price! I was just expecting to be trated fairly like when I order from Summit Racing, I recently ordered a HV oil pump for my 496 and meant to order the reg volume. I called them and told them it was my mistake and they still shipped the new one out overnight at THEIR COST. That is customer service. So BEWARE of TAMARAZ! Sorry this post was so long.

Just ordered a bunch of stuff from them about 2 weeks ago, front and rear seat covers, assembled front and rear door panels, rug, complete weather seal kit, lock set, etc lots more.........The first package came in about 5 days, ( dealt directly with them) but i have yet to receive the door panels, sail, panels, head liner, and a few other pieces of the weather seal kit...??They didn't mention to me on the phone that they were back ordered or anything...Hopefully they come within the next few days.......
If so then that's cool, everything seemed to go ok with them......

I was tempted to buy some parts from them thru Ebay, but I noticed the small print that the items they sell on Ebay may not be in stock and the bidder should check with them to see if they have the product in stock! What the H, they run auctions or Buy It Now's for stuff they don't have! I don't need that kind of frustration.

For the most part Ground Up has been good, the few problems I've had, they took care of, OPGI was OK, but had some out of stocks that lasted a lot longer then they predicted. Gene's General Store, maybe the best I have dealt with. He beat everybody's price of new quarters and wheel houses for my 65, he beat shipping prices and he ate sales tax. Had new quarters in 3 days. They were drop shipped from the Golden Legion/Dynamark/whatever warehouse in Texas. This seems to be common procedure among most dealers.

I had a good experience with one of their pre-sale items on Ebay. I called ahead before I bid and was advised of the 4-5 week lead time needed to manufacture a Chevelle fiberglass hood. They called 3 weeks later and told me it was ready.
Tamraz's also offered me a box for shipping in at $20.00. I decided to pick it up the box would not fit in my truck so we took it out of the box and they gave me the money back. It was more than a box-it had a wood frame inside it. :)
