Hey, i know this is a chevelle site and forum geared toward

old chevy musclecars, i have a 72 350 malibu 2 owners in its life

me and my dad

but i have a big problem with an 02 chevy s10 pickup

its got the vortec v6 and what is going on is

a few days ago it was parked with the gas light on because it was on reserve and it got very cold a few times overnight

now when we start it, with a quarter tank of gas added through a can

it just spins and it will cough a few times but no ignition

i have checked the fuel rail valve and it purges gas at an appropriate pressure

we put a diehard new diehard gold in it thinking its a voltage problem...

still acts the same just spins a bit faster, like i said it will cough and go for a second

then nothing....

any ideas???????????

If you getting fuel, have you checked for spark? Those crank or cam sensors are known to just die all of a sudden.

Probably the fuel Pump. On most of the chevy trucks that we end up putting fuel pumps in they have fuel pressure but no volume. They will start, idle very low, stumble then die. Just my thoughts.
