I am reaching the end of a master bat remodel. I apply a tube a GE Silicone II bronze caulk on the shower surround last Saturday and it has remained wet as if I installed it 10 minutes ago. On Thursday, I called customer service. They asked for the batch number, and while they had no history of problems, he said there is a problem. I need to remove the caulk :( with rubbing alcohol. They will send a refund and I need to by a new tube, test it and start over.

The batch number starts with 07G. He said avoid a "G" tube when I buy another one.

The good - problem solved, quick easy refund, great service

The bad - removing wet caulk is messy, I could have been using my new shower a week ago.

I have a homemade attachment that fits on my vacuum cleaner. It's not much to look at but it's a great little caulk sucker.
