I sent this info to a freind as well,wanted to bounce it here too.
Did a Comp. check of some of my cylinders. heres what happened:
#1 160
#2 125
#3 170
#4 190
#8 150(which when I pulled out was black soot)

Help...........

Steve,what about the other cylinders? Might want to try a leakdown test.Did you try squirting any oil into the lower reading cylinders to see if the reading goes up?

Chris, only tested those cylindrs.One thing I DIDN"T do was hold open the throdel blades when doing the test graemlins/clonk.gif I'm hoping this may change everything graemlins/sad.gif

another thing that I found out when I did the test on my engine yesterday, was that you have to crank it until the gauge stops. For some cylinders it took 3-4 cranks to get to where the gauge stoped. I got between 210-212 on all my cylinders with the engine cold and throttle wide open.

Just a suggestion...you might have done it that way. Defenitely do the test with the throttle open as this will allow a bunch of air in there quickly...

Well Did another test this time with the carb blades open.GUESS WHAT..........
All were within 3lbs of each other.Average reading was 185.
Thanx guys.BTW I tossed the stupid pills in the toilet graemlins/clonk.gif
