Have a 67 chevelle that originally was a column shift. Am changing to a four on the floor and would like to clean the steering column up. Do not have the funding right now to put a idit steering column in. was wondering if anyone has an idea how to get rid of the column shift and clean the column up without a new steeing column. Am trying to go an inexpensive way for a few years until I can buy a new column.
Don't really want to just cut it off and weld a piece in because I don't know what the heat on the inside of the column will do to the guts of it.
Any info is greatly appreciated.
