I see most sold with the 3857584 tail housing, but hear the 3978764 was more durable what came with the car from the factory I want my to be correct. but if I did use the larger 32 spline out put shaft wil I have to change anything? You also may end up having to shorten the driveshaft by an inch or so. larietrope Feb 5th, 08, 7:45 PM Many think the smaller 10 spline input 27 spline output is very durable. Plus, it bolts up with no change of yoke, clutch plate, and u joint. I've very happy with my 69 10/27 plus unless you like the constant whine of an M-22 I'd stay put.
