I FINALLY HAVE THE ENGINE AND TRANS BACK IN THE PROJECT. iT'S A TH350 AND I'M GOING TO ROUTE IT CLOSE TO STOCK. I DON'T KNOW THE LENGTH OF LINE TO GET TBEND IT MYSELF. I DON'T A FLARING TOOL SO I'M HOPING TO USE A LINE WITH THE FLARES AND FITTINGS ALREADY TO GO. ANYBODY OUT THERE CAN GIVE ME A LENGTH?
THANKS

Once I made a set of lines for a 66 Chevelle w/powerglide using a 50" & 60" ready 5/16" steel line without a flaring tool. One line came out almost perfect but the other needed an extra bend to take up slack. I don't remember the position of the 69 cooler but a stock 66 is in the bottom of the radiator.

I'm not sure a 69 uses the same length line but you could measure before you buy. It would look a lot better if you borrow the tools you need like bender and double-flaring tool......good luck.

i would consider buying a set already made up, would look good and prevent leaks, since you dont have the correct tools

I just bought some 5/16 brake line tubes as it already has the fitting and screws into the trans. Bought the longest one they had and it came out to about the sway bar. Cut that end off and put a flare and ran the rest with rubber tran line. Cost about 15 bucks total going this route. But you can buy lines already bent and ready to go from inline tube or the right stuff.

I saw the price of prebent lines and was trying to save some money. the car had haed lines coming out of the radiator about 6-8 inches and then rubber to hard lines out of the trrans. It just looked jerry-rigged. right now i can't remember the exact route.
Does it hug the block by the oil pan then staight out to the radiator?

You should buy the lines from a parts store that will flare the ends for you. Purchase two that are longer than you need, fit them up and whack the excess. Have the parts store put a double flare on them for u. Go home install "custom" lines. Bing, Bang, Bong.:)
