Alright guys, I have been all over the place looking at stuff and I need some input from people that have used the stuff.

Here is what I am looking at. I have a 454 thats going to have a nice build to it, hoping to get 425-450hp out of it and I need to figure out what to put on top of it. I have a holley 700cfm Projection 4d setup I was going to use but I'm not sure I want to mess with it.

I've been looking everywhere at the different carbs and its making my head spin. Holley, BG, Edelbrock, Carter, mechanical secondaries, vacuum secondaries, no choke, electric choke, manual choke, 750, 850, etc... I need some opinions on what to run on this darn thing. I'm leary of running a manual choke, and have had a bad experience with a Holley 850 double pumper. Other than that nothing else has made me think one is better than the other, or easier.

Joe,
Personally, I would not look back ... go with the EFI.

That ECU is pretty antiquated and has limitations. I'd consider using the throttle body and upgrading the ECU.

I didnt realize they sold the ECU without the rest of the system. That was one of the things I was worried about using with this setup. I will have to look into that and see how much it will set me back if I use it.
