im in the process of rebuilding my 1970 chevelle. i have purchased the full floor with all braces and rocker panels. i'm also going to purchase the full reproduction floor pan. but, while looking at the trunk floors i realized a difference between the 70 and the 71 trunk floors. the difference is on the flat panel that is directly behind the back seat. their is a raised section above where i believe the rear axle would sit. on the 70 its smaller than the 71 im just wondering the reason for this and if i should get the 71 for more clearance with my currie 9'' rearend on air ride i plan to have.
