I just found out from my machinist that my Speed Pro's won't work for my engine, the valve reliefs are to small and can't be machined large enuph. So I ordered some SRP's thinking that they would be a bunch lighter and all. Turns out that they are about the same weight. Why then do they cost twice as much? Is it worth it for those few grams? Are they that much stronger? Please enlighten me...

TRW/Speedpro pistons are really good and light for that amount of power they withstand.

1000HP in a bigblock for ten years isnt unusual.

I dont know if SRP is better, they are more expensive. Or about the same for some parts. pistons in that class will perform well.
