Before i go and buy my new lunati solid cam i was wondering if lunati is coming out with a new solid cam in the vodoo line for a small block chevy, or is it just hydralic ones.

thanks,

Harold said they were. I'm interested in the 268 solid Voodoo(Harold said it was going to be around 235/243@.050, .500/.521 Lift, tight lash .016). It sounded like it was going to be a while before the solid versions were ready.

UDHarold-Any idea on when they will be available? Also, are there going to be any back2back dyno tests with the Comp. Cams xs268 and your solid 268 like you did with the hydraulic versions? I'm anxiously awaiting.

They did some back to back dyno pulls with the new hydralic cams. What where the results.

Harold mentioned in previous posts that his 268 outperformed Comp.'s 268.

I'm gonna throw this TTT-I'm interested in his response on when they will be available/cost/etc.

To everyone---

I believe the price for cam and lifters will be around $189 for the hydraulics. I expect the solids to be similarly priced. If anything, I may be quoting too high....
It is up to Holley to release all the dyno testing, which I recommend doing.
Did you say 268? How about +10 ftlbs at 3000, +20-25 BHP at peak, which stretched from 5300 to 5700---Same BHP--- over 28 BHP more at 5800, and about the same at 6200, where we stopped all testing.
The VooDoo mini-catalog(Hydraulics only) is p/n L30816.
BTW, the CC XE268 is 268/280 at the seat, 224/230 at .050". 137/140 at .200", .477"/.480" valve lift, and 110 LSA>
The VooDoo 268 is 268/276 at the seat, 227/233 at .050", 141/147 at .200", .489"/.505" valve lift, 110 LSA, and it still shuts the valve gentler.....
There will be back-to-back dyno testing of the XS290 vs the VooDoo 290, and our VooDoo 276 against either the XS274 or the XS282. Our cam is bigger at .050 than the XS282, but our seat duration is acurrate at .015, same as their XS274....
