Is there a vendor source for the pancake-style vacuum tank AS seen on Donnie1's website here: http://image52.webshots.com/452/4/31/57/2069431570028482952JPMoWK_fs.jpg

Mine is very similar except it has a large hole at 3:00 and a smaller one in the center. Made by "Dole Valve".

Steve,
only thing you can do is look for a good used one.
every now and then an NOS one will be on ebay.

Thanks Donnie. Your tank has two plugs in the front. Mine doesn't, so maybe there are two versions out there.

Your link works fine for me.

If you are talking about the vacuum canister that mounts on the evaporator box for A/C cars. My one owner 70 is a march,Balt. car it had the tin can on it. If you want the tin can type. They can be bought BRAND NEW !! I have a brand new one on my 70. It fits the stock 70 brkt.
You may be talking about the plastic "Softball" type, not sure.
If interested in the "Dinty Moore Beef stew type can " I can help.

Took me a while but I did a search and found the pictures of his red 1970 Chevelle. Damn nice car !

The vac reserviour that he has on his car is plastic and is similar in shape to the metal can type.
I don't know where you can get one of these, with the exception of eBay Motors.

Hopefully both of these images will post on your browsers. If not, it's probably your internet security software settings:

Donnie - Mine has two recessed holes in the rear where the two vacuum lines exit. The front also has two recessed holes. There's one out on ebay for the next 13 hours, but it looks pretty beat-up: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/69-70-71-72-CHEVELLE-CUTLASS-GTO-A-C-VACUUM-TANK_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ34197QQihZ004QQite mZ140203195443QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW BTW: Where can I get the A/C foam piece that straps to the alternator?

Hi Steve, Ground Up has the A.C. insulator foam you're looking for in their latest catalog, pg. 121.
