Bisquit037 Feb 1st, 08, 7:00 PM Looking for the correct fan for my 67 project. Anyone know what the correct part number is? Found this one on ebay... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/67-Chevelle-BBC-Radiator-Fan_W0QQitemZ290201045785QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item2 90201045785
DaleM Feb 1st, 08, 8:44 PM Looking for the correct fan for my 67 project. Anyone know what the correct part number is?Not correct for several reasons. First, part number is for a 71 big car and second, the 67 is a 5-blade fan. That aside, it'll probably physically fit on your water pump and if you have room for the 19+" diameter over the 67's 18" unit.
The K02 clutch fan was std with A/C and L78 but optional with anything else. AIM shows 4 clutch assemblies and two fan blades.
Clutch assm.

3916140 - opt
3916141 - L35
3916142 - opt

PCB67SS Feb 1st, 08, 8:46 PM I'm afraid you'll have to keep looking. If your looking for a correct clutch/fan combo for a 67 it will be a 5 blade unit. The one on eBay may fit and work but would not be factory correct.....Good Luck
Bisquit037 Feb 2nd, 08, 8:06 AM Thanks for the information. I will keep searching.

PCB67SS Feb 2nd, 08, 9:09 AM Yes it was standard unless ordered as Dale mentioned above.

This may be simple, but what would be the differance in the 5 blade fan be, having different part #'s. Also what would "opt" represent in the AIM
I'm asking this because I have a 17&3/4 inch, 5 blade fan, that I think is correct for 67 L34, but has no part numbers stamped into it. I started a thread last week regarding this 5 blade fan , but got no responses.

Perhaps someone would chime in here?

Two types of clutch assm. were available, a coil spring type (like a carb choke spring) and a flat bar type. Disregarding the longer small block application (3916139/40), the first number (3916141) is for the coil spring type and the second (3916142-Opt) for the flat bar. Either type would be correct (coil spring or flat bar), AFAIK, it just depended on which was at hand at the time of assembly; both manufacturers were OEM suppliers to GM. Both fan blades are physically the same except one uses 4 rivets and one 5 to attach the blades.
One other thing, the listing shows the BB unit as L35 but it would assume it would include the L34 as well.
