Hey guys. My dad has a 98' Dodge Neon out in the driveway and was going to give it away. It has like 65k on it and it's a 5 speed, for "one of those cars" it would be a good driver to work or out of tower, but the head blew a hole through it. Would it be worth fixing? Ive never tampered with the 4 cyclinders before.

I'm actually a member of a club similar to this one for Neon enthusiasts. At 65K, a head job isn't TOO far out of the picture. The gasket's probably gone and needs to be replaced anyway at that point (revised part through Chrysler got that fixed up). You should be able to pick up an assebled head cheap enough at a junk yard. If you want to know more about it, visit http://www.neons.org and ask around in the forums there. At worst, if you don't decide to pick itup for yourself, you may find somebody on there who wouldn't mind picking it up for themselves.
