I just got the bumper jack hook for the bumper for my 68 on ebay. Now the question is, what color is the hook and the mechanism that goes up and down and the base. Satin or gloss black???

Tower is cast aluminum; mechanism, base, handle and hook is light gray with a medium gloss finish. Don't forget the black rubber sleeve.

Thanks Les!! Any light grey suggestions other than Eastwood (Krylon, Rustoleum??)? Is the spare suppose to be light grey also?? If so, I'll have to add it to my list of "to do's. I'll work on the sleeve. It has taken me since May to find the hook.

Roger, The light gray krylon is close enough. The ralley wheel spare on my car is incorrect as the inside should be black and some day I'll fix that. I don't know what wheels you have but I think the steel wheels are the same color front and back. Bill Rose or Ark68SS would know the answer to that.

Thanks Les and Bill. Just learned that last week. Still fairly new here and learning. Bill, is the spare suppose to be installed with the outside facing down as in your picture? I must say I have learned a ton just by reading the different threads. What a great place!! Thanks again for the help.

Roger, the picture is of my trunk and yes the spare is supposed to be as shown. If you order a new decal for your trunk it shows the correct position for your jack and spare.
