I am thinking of replacing my cracked dash pad and was wondering if anyone has done it on a 69 SS396. And has anyone used that dash pad cover sold by NPD? The salesperson said it's really only for people trying to sell their car otherwise I wouldn't like it. Anyone ever seen one?

P.S. - Is a 4.5" angle grinder/cutter good to cut some of the floor pan? What have you guys used? I'm thinking of buying one for $18 from Harbor Freight Tools. It's a "Chicago" brand. Thanks...

To replace the pad on a 69 you need to drop the instrument panel, heater controls, and glove box. 68 & 69s were the worst years for that chore.
