Hey Guys,
I got my new Brodix's about a week ago and my builder in on vacation, so i cant call him to ask. He gave me the studs and Guide plates but the guide plates are offset. Which ones recieve the left or the right offset? Also told me to get valve stem caps. Any reason why i need these??? Just curious. I must say tho...aluminum heads look awesome!!!
Thanks guys

Any particular head??
Why weren't the guide plates on the heads?
The lash caps are normally only used on Titanium valves or to correct a geometry problem.
In any event, the guide plates will be self explanatory when you put them on the heads.
If they ain't right the rockers won't line up. Offsets are normally for the intake valve & you will have rights & lefts.
You also want to seal the intake rocker studs or you may have an "interesting" oiling problem :D

OK SS. Im going to give you the heads up here. You got a good set of heads but did you get them assembeled? If so pull them back apart and use a dab of red locktite your rocker studs. Also check to make sure they oiled your valve stems. Mine had a "slight" amount of oil on them and i wasnt impressed. Also make sure your valves are the same length. I got 2 different valves, one set was .070 longer than the others. Then check your installed height, mine was dead on but i had to re adjust them because of the valve situation. Brodix took care of all of the problems but i wasnt impressed with theyre assembly. But the complimentary bowl blend and port match they did was good work. If i could do it again i would have gotten them bare but when i got them {june 03'} they wouldnt give me the CNC chambers without them complete. Anyway.... check em' good

Hi Nick,
Not doubting you as anyone can screw up but that's a first for me.
I have had a bunch of Brodix heads go through here & I have not had to redo anything,, ever except for when I forget to tell them to install exhaust seals which ain't their fault, it's mine for not ordering them.
The Race Rites come standard with ex. seals now though.
BTW, that ain't "oil" it is an assembly lube that does not take much to do it's job ;)

Wolf, thats what they told me about that lube or oil.... I agree anyone can screw up, they did. BUT as a good company should, they took care of it...unlike some of the others ive been hearing about!! I recommend Brodix to anyone. And i was in no way bashing them. And really couldnt be happier with their customer service. Heck at car craft in St Paul one of their guys was walking past, he must have taken a good look at my nova's motor, and he came over and had a conversation with me about my heads and he didnt try to sell me a thing, just wanted to know how stuff was going!!! I think his name was David Zwillinger

Hey guys thanks,
Mike, they are the Race Rites. They wernt put on because i had to pick up the guide plates at the speed shop so i said i would do it, but I didnt know they were offset.
Yes i'm seeingb the oiling problem as i can see right into the intake port! HA! thanks again
