I bought three windshield wiper motors at a swap meet last fall. I just sand blasted them and one has 5045430 on the top row, XXXXXXXXXX on the second row (the Xs cover a faint part number 5045502), TYPE E on the third row, and 12 V. on the fourth. Has anyone seen one of these before?

I'm gonna guess the rebuilder did that. I have bought alternators from the parts house where they hit the casting numbers with a grinder before they re-maned them. I think they do that when they change the configuration from stock or swap parts from one unit to another to keep you from mis-identifying it.
