well, i picked an orange, called bright orange, because i didnt like the hugger orange, and after shooting the firewall and cowl (shooting just the shell first) i am not sure i can live with this orange-i hate to throw away $300 in paint, but better now than when its finished
i dont know, maybe comp and all the trim on, it would be ok-69 300 sedans are hard to pick a color for, they dont look the same as a hardtop, less flash
anyone have a 69 painted orange, would like to see one (sd or coupe)

no such thing as an orange that is too bright. Check out my 72, it is "Grand-Pre red" which is a reddish orange. Love it. :thumbsup:

Heres a orange we sprayed yesterday on a General Lee replica, not sure what the orange is but I have the code.

of course color looks diff in pics, but i could live with jimmy p's 69, i was going to put the black stripe down the side, and add wheel well trim, with the black grill, black int and black roll bar
i dont know, i'll keep thinking-i am going to take a sample back to the store where they mixed it, match it up to the sample sheet

FWIW a white stripe is (originality) correct for Monaco Orange '69 SS's, unless it had a black top, in which case a black stripe is correct.

well, i went back to the paint store and got the next orange, called poppy-it has a little red in it, where the other, called bright orange, had none-i think i will like this one more-i can save some money by shooting a couple coats of the other, then finish up with the new orange, help offset the bucks already in the other-of course, the orange i picked today is twice as much-oh well, lol
