Along with my Chevelle, I'm restoring a 69 Grand Prix. I need to replace my rear bumper pocket and ran across this one on ebay. It's just a piece of plastic, however it's not reproduced. Guess I'll repair mine. Never had this issue with the Chevelle!

That cant be true...you REALLY have to be a die hard to want to pay 740 + for a plastic part. That is crazy!

It's true, and there's still over a day to go. Ames Performance used to have repo's but nobody is making them anymore. Anyone know how to cast plastic or fiberglass! It's a wide open market!

Wow. I'm looking for a 1971 Grand Prix. My family had Pontiacs when I was little, they had a '67 GP, '69 GP, a '71 GP, a '73 Grand Safari wagon...I loved the '71. It was an SJ.

A friend of mine is a Pontiac Freak

In High School he started driving Pontiac 2+2 cars

2-65s
1-66
1-67

Last time I saw him (not all that long ago), he was the VERY proud owner of a>>>>
>>>> 1967 Pontiac Grand Prix Convertible<<<<<< a one year only car.
I think I recall a 428 and a 4spd in it.
If he does go ahead and restore it----could be his retirement.
He was using it as a daily when I last saw him.

I could build the mold and mold this piece, problem is that you would have $5k in the mold (build it myself therefore $0 labor) and how many could you sell? 100? Not at $740.00 plus dollars each.

If the market were there, someone would repop it. The 64 and 65 rear tail panel is a perfect example. Too much $$ for too little market.

This won't fit on a '69 anyway. It is for the '71 and '72 only. The rear bumper is different for 69-70 VS 71-72.

May be some shilling going on. One bidder list 50% of his activity with this seller . Some of these dealers have several ebay IDs. Gary
