Im definatly finding a problem with my combo but I can't pin point my problem 100%. I run a PVC on the drivers side to front of the base plate of carb and a breather on the other side. The PVC shoots out after a hard 1/4 pass. Im concerned that I might have a internal engine problem or my hose routing is bad or not correct.
Why would my pvc valve shoot out? The baffeling on the valve covers is pretty good. I've tried 2 different sets of valve covers so far and now have the better baffeled set on currently.
Under 5-7psi boost wtih the blower it will NOT shoot out the pcv even if I made 3-4 passes down the 1/4.......but after I change pullies and under 9-10psi boost it will shoot it out on my first 6k rpm 1st gear pull......hmmmm.....What? Is my problem a high pressure/high volume oil pump and restrictive exhaust system causing some fighting????? I seem to have a few things that when combined might create a problem.

Where is your pcv valve tied in at?
If is is after the blower, you cant use it.
If your rings are not seated yet, this will show higher than normal
crank case pressure. It should diminish considerably at around 500 miles.
Try venting the valve covers and forget the PCV valve.

my pcv is on drivers side cover going to front of carb spacer. It has a fitting for the pcv.

I have a breather on other side and oil seems to come out from there under lots off boost. The pcv on the drivers side gets kicked out only under lots off boost too. The motor has around 3500 miles on it and is a year old this month since in the car first fired up. These valve covers are no longer on the car. I swapped out my old set that had better baffeling in them but the problem still occurs on the drivers side.

CHECK FOR DETONATION!!!!!
Detonation will cause what you are describing and WILL KILL THE ENGINE:mad:
You have the same setup I have run on cars and marine with no issues at all.
:thumbsup:Nice work;)

I had the same problem and just ran a breather on the passenger side & a puke tank w/ a breather on the passenger side. Zero problems. Some people just use two breathers but be warned, from experience, if both breather load up with oil & don't do their job the next thing that usually goes is the rear intake seal.

I have a little Weiand pump on my 454 mercruiser and it is rigged with 1, 1/2" hose from each valve cover up into the flame arrester base. This draws well and any fumes are recycled back into the carb. I only run about 6 lbs. boost - but it may be under boost for several miles on a hard run and the hoses never blow out. I think you just need more evacuation of the covers to let out the blow-by from that higher boost. Some HI-PO applications actually run an independent, high volume vaccum pump to relieve that pressure build-up. Have fun.

Im gonna try some of these ideas tonight. The air filtration back to the cleaner is an idea thats gonna be hard to do. I have a drop base and it will be hard to rig a hose up to it being so low. I have a cleance problem and will give some of these ideas a shot.
