I'm nearing the end of a 460 bbc build ( about 650 hp ) and I'm wondering what to do for a water pump. This car will see about 60% strip / 40% street. How streetable are the electric ones and which brand do you all like? They cost a little more but I could offset the cost by saving on pulleys and brackets.

I don't see a big savings on pulleys and brackets with an electric pump, just the opposite. Water pumps don't need a bracket, but most other accessories do. If you have an electric water pump occupying the space where the belt to your other accessories needs to run, you will have to get some special brackets and belts. How are you going to drive your alternator? Power steering?

I'm running the Edelbrock Alum pump on my 460 BBC. It works great. You must have a good radiator to cool 650hp though.
