So this is a newbie question. Never used TB before and mayby ill never will.

But i found it interesting about everyone that uses it and uses it different.

So how should you use it?

Push the button and rev as much the converter will stall and have full throttle?

And if the vacum drops after tire grips? Rev limiters?

Low stall converters, anyone using timing retards to have full vacum with open throttle and low rpm?

Now i launch from 1000rpm and got a 1.30 60.ie and it feels like a hard launch, a Transbrake start@4000 (stall) will break alot i think?

When you push the button you activate the transbrake which locks 1st and reverse together.

The way I understand how to use it is this: When staging and after you got the car where you want it, with the trans in 1st you activate the transbrake and then mash the gas...the engine will only allow it to rev as high as the stall allows. When you're ready to launch you let off the button and off you go.

The trans-brake is somewhat independant of what rpm you choose to leave at.

Some will rev up against the converter, while others will use a rev limiter to limit the revs to a few hundred revs lower than the stall.

If you have a two or three step already on board, try both ways and see what works best for your set-up.

Either way, your car will launch quite a bit harder. It is something like reving up a stick shift and dumping the clutch.

You should know that if you choose to go with the "pro" style of tranny brake, backing up is going to be a pain.

Good luck and let us know what you decide.

If your getting a 1.30 at 60ft you already
got a hell of a launch coming out at 1000
rpm's. If I could to that I would leave
my stuff alone.
