I'm trying to figure out how to wire this tach. I think it is a repo (not sure) The numbers are a light green. It has 5 wires , black , brown , drk blue , grey , and red. It is for a 67 with org. idiot lights. It also was changed to a HEI. Before I burn something up , can someone give me some info on the hook up.

Thanks Again
John

Black is ground, attach it to the nearest cluster mounting screw. Brown is the pulse input, it need to pass through the firewall and connect to the HEI TACH terminal. Dkblue is the signal light connection, you will clip the wire to the left turn signal light and connect it here. gray is the back light, connect it to the LAMPS terminal of the fuse block. The red is power feed, connect it to the IGN FUSED.Here is a pic (http://www.wiringharness.com/images/parts/10985.jpg) of a tach harness from M&H (http://www.wiringharness.com) it has the power, backlight and pulse wiring with a grommet for the firewall. M&H will likely put the HEI connector on the pulse wire for extra $. It’s an easy way to a get factory hookup for the tach. I’m sure American Autowire has the same harness.
