Just a little huh? We may get -20 windchill every few years but I don't know about -48. I would be afraid to make the dog go outside to do her business.

Tell you what, why don't you bottle the air and send it to me so I can open it in July. When I'm done with it, I'll bottle some 112 degree air and send it back for you to open next January.

Same thing as when you spit - it goes "CLINK" instead of "splat" when it hits the ground!

I live near Saskatoon and the frigid weather is on it's way here. Will be close to -50 with the wind chill tomorrow. It has been a pretty mild winter until now. I have the fireplace stoked up and I think I'll have a Crown Royal or two tonight to ward off the cold.

I'd rather deal with snow and freezing temperatures than temps in the 80s and all that humidity!!

The forecast says it is heading this way and should be here in full force tonight and tomorrow. I guess there is a reason we call these things "Alberta clippers".
I expect we will be seeing around -30 to -40 actual overnight temperatures and wind chills of -60 to -70 until it passes through.
It is still pretty decent this evening. Right now we are at +4 with wind chill of -20, but tomorrow and Wednesday, our predicted high temperature is -10.
I wish Al Gore was here so he would come to his senses. (if he has any)

It's been in the high 40's today here in N. California. Bitterly cold for us. We have people wearing multiple layers and there is snow in the hills!
Need to make a trip to Cabo....

Im in Edmonton and this cold sucks. When it gets below -40, its time to bring out the long johns :P I learned last year when i didnt have any. Shoulda wore them this morning too. very brrr. That wind in the face has a tendancy to freeze ur eyeballs too. Not fun.

CG66, u put on the big thermal layers, not the brisk warm weather layers :P Sweaters and a long sleeve shirt wont cut it haha.

EDIT: forgot to mention the snow drifts. Its stupid when "up to 1 cm of snow" is really 2 feet of snow on ur doorstep.

Good thing the earth is global warming or you guys would freeze to death. Then we'd have to come up there and dig your chevelles out of 40ft of ice like that P-38 Lightning in Greenland.
