At first I was thinking heat and vapor lock was an issue but now Im not so sure...
INFO
427 built loose, somewhat mild cam, Eddlebrock 800 AVS carb, yada... maybe 500 miles on a fresh .30 over rebuild, high altitude.
First try was with a 130gph mech. fuel pump. Thought I was having vapor lock issues so I switched to a 120 gph Eddlebrock electric using stock lines and 6an to the carb. Heat wrapped all fuel lines around hot spots
Init. timming is 19deg- 40 all in quick @ 3K which is what the machine shop pushed for and also what seems to pull throughout the best [have tired many diff setups]. Minor hessitation at 4200rpm, then pulls hard all the way through 6100.
To the problem---
She runs out great when the engine is still somwhat cool and/or under 20min or so of drive time. Once its warms up a bit 20min or so [never over 205deg on water] I loose almost all fuel pressure at my carb guage. When Im on it hard, its alomost like someting is blocking the fuel flow... She will fall on her face hard and then launch. Filter and carb are clean. I have spaced the carb up cause I thought maybe I was boiling fuel in the carb.
What's next?
I have new 6an braded line to run in place of the stock.
Sorry for the book
Ideas??
