Since swapping the LT1/4L60e into my '69, I have not had a working speedometer, because the late-model transmissions are electronic instead of cable driven speedos.

I bought these gauges about 2 years ago, and am finally getting around to putting them in. I am also changing my interior from black to parchment this winter, so I think the white faces will look pretty cool with the white-ish upholstery. Don't worry, I need to take it apart again, and will thoroughly clean it before installing it. :)

The only thing missing is that cool blue bowtie '69s have for the bright-indicator... Luckily I have a brother who is a CNC machinist. He's going to make me a billet aluminum panel to go where the gear-indicator was, which will have a blue-bowtie bright-indicator and "CHEVELLE" milled into it, which I will paint to match the gauges.

I like that! What size is the fuel gauge?
Yes, the blue bowtie high beam indicator is a must have item.

Fuel gauge is 2-1/16" and the others are 5"

The sizes are PERFECT for a '69 cluster.

Looks awesome Derek!!!!

180 mph @ 1900 rpm is some set of gears... at that speed no wonder it is running on empty!
:D

I have thought of doing something similar. Except I want to take the speedo apart and see if I can make my own bow-tie cut out in the face for the high beam indicator... prolly not enough room though.

Isn't fun to not have to color between the lines. Looks great!!! With your car with the LT1 it will be a nice touch.

Looks great I wish it was as easy to put aftermarket gauges in a 67 dash.
