: Holy Hot Deal Batman! Wideband O2 meter
Tom Mobley Nov 26th, 03, 11:12 PM data logging wideband O2 meter site. (http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/)
I just saw one of these, a buddy came back from the SEMA show with three of them. Looks good, is good. Thing can log 44 minutes worth of O2 data at 12 samples per second. Can also log other data if you're handy hooking stuff up, comes with a cable to download to a PC and the needed software.
$349   This is absolutely dirt cheap.
apparently they sell a replacement sensor for only like $60, that's what I just paid for a regular self-heated GM sensor for wife's car.
Have fun, Tom
Hey, maybe my post will get nuked by Bob!! Advertising.... I don't care, this is too good to pass up. Killer deal, IMHO.

ejrempel Nov 27th, 03, 12:01 AM Let me get this straight, Tom. Make a series of runs, download them and look at the graph, and have your entire fuel curve in front of your very eyes so you can see the rich and lean spots for the whole 1320. Address the deficiencies, and go a whole lot faster. For what amounts to 350 bucks.
Don't some guys flog their combos for years to get to where this machine will take them in an afternoon? Either that, or the turkey you just ate was raised in a pot patch! smile.gif
Wolfplace Nov 27th, 03, 12:03 AM Picked one up about a month ago but haven't got a chance to use it yet. It looks real good!!
I am going to compare it to the $2000+ lambda on my dyno to see how it does.
It will be a while but I will post the results when I get the time to do it
RatONaStick Nov 27th, 03, 12:09 AM its definitly nice!
but i dunno about dirt cheap.

i see that and completely understand, but our definitions of dirt cheap must differ. $350 is a little steep for me, especially with something that is nice to have but not necessary.
and im not trying to downplay your post here, its a nice product and im sure it would be very usefull.
mc71454 Nov 27th, 03, 7:38 AM Mike,
Is there any way you could do the comparison any sooner...
Tom, Thanks for the post, this has sparked my interest again..I didn't want to spend the $600+ I have seen before.
Gary Anderson Nov 27th, 03, 8:49 AM Guys,
I got one on their first group buy but with the weather I didn't get a chance to use it. It will have to wait 'til spring. Seems like a good unit and the EFI guys over there seem to think it's a properly designed piece.

camcojb Nov 27th, 03, 11:17 AM A friend of mine has been doing testing on it for them. He told me it's within .1 of his several thousand dollar Horiba unit. Very accurate, and fast reacting. I picked one up last week to use for tuning on a friends Procharged EFI 406. I'll also use it on my Lightning. Very nice piece, plus the datalogging features make it a steal at that price. I've seen units for $600+ that aren't nearly as accurate.
HINT: the pricing will be going up as their dealers are already pushing for a price increase (retail) so they can make more money. They are also bringing out an in-dash model in February or so.

Tom,
I don't think so, What with the holidays & going to the Performance Industry Show & ATEC plus I have a couple of alchohol engines I am supposed to get done. Gonna be pretty busy.
I do have two super late model / NW tour engines
I gotta freshen after that & I hope to try it then. If I just hang it on something without a comparison it won't tell me much except it lights up & gives me numbers :D
Monte Nov 27th, 03, 1:40 PM Tom, I also have one. I just got it 2 days ago. I will be using it here shortly. I have to fix the Monte first and then get the bung welded in. I also got the exhaust clamp mount. From what I have been reading on the net they work very very well. Monte
Doug F. Nov 27th, 03, 1:51 PM I've used one and compared it to high dollar units and if you are going to use it for tuning and then remove it, it is a very nice piece, especially for the money.
